Abstract
The 2013 curriculum directs student-centered learning, but the problem that is often found in the field is that learning is not fully student-centered. This study aims to determine the effect of the GQGA model cooperative learning assisted by a mind map on the science learning outcomes of SMP Negeri 7 Payakumbuh. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Payakumbuh who were enrolled in the 2021/2022 school year which were distributed into 4 classes, namely class VIII.1 – VIII.4. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. The data obtained was analyzed using the t-test. The average post-test experimental results were 86.32, with an average Gain Test of the experimental class of 74 which was quite effective, so it can be concluded that the final test hypothesis test of the experimental class and control class from the results of data analysis obtained the price of tcount 5.30 and ttabel 1.67. Price tcount > ttabel means that the hypothesis is accepted. From the results of hypothesis testing, it shows that there is a significant positive influence on the Model GQGA Cooperative Learning assisted by mind maps on student learning outcomes in class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Payakumbuh.
